Managing job details is now easier without leaving the pipeline view. The new job header surfaces key information at a glance, and all management actions are accessible from a streamlined dropdown — so you spend less time navigating between pages and more time focused on your candidates.
In this article, we will cover:
The Job Header
At the top of every job's pipeline view, the job header displays the most important information about the role:
- Job name — with the ability to change status (set to internal or close the job, based on your permissions)
- Location and hiring manager
- Open date
- Sponsorship status — if the job is not currently sponsored, you'll see an indicator with a link to the marketplace to sponsor it. If the job is sponsored, you'll see which job boards it's active on, and clicking takes you to job analytics to review your campaign performance.
Job Management Dropdown
Click the management dropdown from the job header to access all job-level actions in one place:
View, Edit, or Share the Job
Quickly access the job posting to review it as a candidate would see it, make edits to the description or requirements, or copy a shareable link to send to a referral source or post externally.
Manage Job Details
Click Manage to open a full view of all job details, including the job description, custom fields, and configuration settings. This is where you go for bigger changes beyond what's visible in the pipeline header.
Hiring Steps
From the job management dropdown, select "Edit" and you can navigate to the hiring steps editor to add, remove, or reorder hiring steps for the job — including adding the optional Pre-Hire stage. See the Pre-Hire Stage article for step-by-step instructions.
Requisition Approval
If your organization uses requisition approvals, you can access requisition approval details and status directly from the job management dropdown.
Job Comments
Add comments about the job itself — not a specific candidate — and view the full comment history. This is useful for recording notes about sourcing strategy, hiring manager feedback on the role, or team discussions about the position.
Changing Job Status
Job status can be changed directly from the pipeline view without going to a separate settings page. From the job header, you can:
- Set the job to Internal — removes the job from public job boards while keeping it active for internal applicants
- Close the job — removes the job from all job boards and marks it as filled or cancelled
Available status options depend on your user permissions within Hireology.
