Instead of navigating to a separate page to view candidate details, Candidate Pipeline uses a slide-out Candidate Drawer. Select a candidate’s name to open the drawer from the right side of the screen and review information, documents, and communication history without leaving the pipeline.

What's in the Candidate Drawer
The Candidate Drawer is your central hub for information about a candidate. The updated layout provides more room for the hiring workflow and includes quick comments and tags. From the drawer you can:
- View submitted documents, including resumes, applications, survey responses, and other documents.
- Review the candidate’s past applications to your business.
- Review messages and continue communicating with the candidate.
- See tags, comments, and recent activity; use quick comments to collaborate with your team.
- Take actions such as advancing, declining, or moving the candidate between stages.
- Navigate between candidates without closing the drawer.
Starting a Conversation — From the Applied Stage
From Applied, you can start a conversation in several ways:
- Select the candidate’s name to open the Candidate Drawer.
- Select Message.
- Select the SMS icon or email icon on the candidate card.
Rejection emails can be scheduled to send at a future date and time. This scheduling option is for rejection emails; it does not mean all email or SMS messages can be scheduled.
Starting a Conversation — From the In Progress Stage
From In Progress, use the dropdown menu on a candidate card and select Message for a shortcut. This opens the Candidate Drawer to the communication area, where you can choose email or phone.
In Progress candidates can be viewed in Column View or List View.
Communicating from the Candidate Drawer
When the drawer is open, the Personal Info section displays the candidate’s email address and phone number. Select either to start a message in that channel. You can also select New Message to open the communication form.
Sending an Email or SMS
The communication form lets you:
- Switch between Email and SMS.
- Write a custom message.
- Select a pre-built template for common scenarios such as interview scheduling, application acknowledgment, or next steps.
- Use dynamic fields such as candidate name, company name, and job title that populate when the message is sent.
Rejection emails can be scheduled to send at a future date and time. Choose the future send date/time in the rejection-email flow.
Reviewing Message History
From any stage, the Candidate Drawer lets you switch between Messages, Documents, and Applications submitted by the candidate. Within Messages, you can:
- See messages sent to and received from the candidate.
- Filter messages by type (email or SMS) and status (such as sent, delivered, or opened).
- Select an individual message to review its contents.
- Select Send Message to reply in the same thread.
- Select Back to Messages to return to the full message list.
