Referral campaigns are used to target specific groups of your Employees to promote your referral program. Your Referrals platform includes templates, customizable messaging, and campaign scheduling to simplify the process.
In this article we will cover:
Creating Referral Campaigns Using a Template
To create a Referral campaign, begin by clicking 'Launch Referrals' in your Hireology account.
In the Referrals portal, click the 'Messages' tab.
Next, click 'Create new campaign'.
Click 'Use Template'. Note: All campaigns that use a template will be delivered via email. To choose a different delivery method like Text Message or QR Code, you can create a campaign from scratch.
Review or customize the message content. You will be able to edit the campaign Name, Subject (for email campaigns), and Body of the message.
You can personalize the message by copying or typing any of the Dynamic Fields listed below into the message Body.
Name | Field |
Connector Name |
{{name}} |
Program Name | {{program}} |
Program Link | {{link}} |
Program Reward | {{bonus}} |
Signature | {{signature}} |
Next, choose your audience. The audience Type will default to Employees. You can also filter by Connector status and/or a Connector List you've created.
Finally, set the campaign schedule. You can choose either 'One-time' or 'Onboarding' as the Type. Onboarding campaign messages are sent a set number of days after someone is added to the system. You can also schedule a specific date/time for the campaign to begin, or save it as a draft to complete later!
Click 'Schedule Message'. You will see a confirmation that your campaign is scheduled and the date/time it will begin, as well as the option to go back and make changes if needed.
Campaign Automation
When someone is marked as 'Hired' in your Hireology account, they will be automatically enrolled in the five-part Automated New Hire Campaign. Beginning two weeks after a new employee’s hire date, this campaign is a set of weekly emails or texts that inform them of your referral program, show your current job openings, and ask for referrals.
Note: If you already have an onboarding campaign set up, it will not be impacted and the automated campaign will not be enabled.
To view or customize the automated campaign, click the 'Messages' tab and select ‘Scheduled’.
Next, click the ellipses menu.
You can choose ‘Pause’ or ‘Delete’ depending on what you’d like to do. We recommend selecting the Pause option so the campaign is available if you decide to use it in the future.
Paused campaigns will be moved to the ‘Drafts’ tab.
From there, you can re-enable the Automated New Hire Campaign at any time by clicking the ellipses menu and selecting ‘View Schedule’.
Enter the scheduling details and click ‘Schedule Message’.
You will see a confirmation that your campaign is scheduled and the date/time it will begin, as well as the option to go back and make changes if needed.
