Tags are a great way to categorize applicants and candidates based on attributes reflecting skills, certifications, experience, or other details. Tagging an applicant or candidate enables you to search for and quickly identify profiles that might not usually be grouped together but have similar qualities.

Assigning Tags
Follow the steps below to assign a tag to an applicant or candidate.
1. Click the 'Jobs' tab in the top left of your hiring site.
2. Click on a job title.
3. Click on the name of either an applicant or candidate to open their profile.
4. Click the tag icon next to the applicant or candidate's name.
5. Type the desired tag and click the '+' symbol to apply it.
You can also assign tags in bulk to a group of applicants or candidates who have applied for the same job! To do that, follow the steps below.
1. Click the 'Jobs' tab in the top left of your hiring site.
2. Click on a job title
3. Check the boxes to select the applicants or candidates you would like to tag.
4. Click the 'Add Tag' button in the header.
5. Type the desired tag and click 'Add' to apply it.
Tip: We recommend keeping tags short and straightforward, think one to three words. Use the Comments tool for lengthier notes!
Searching Candidates by Tags
To search for applicants or candidates you have tagged, follow the steps below.
1. Click the 'Candidates' tab in the top left of your hiring site.
2. Click 'Reset all filters', then click the 'Tags' filter.
3. Select the tag(s) you would like to capture in the results.
4. Select the time frame you would like to include.
5. Click the 'Apply Filters' button.
