Editing the Prescreen Survey

Your Hireology account includes prebuilt Prescreen Surveys. These surveys are made up of automatically scored True and False statements that help you identify if applicants are qualified for a job. You can use the surveys as they are or customize them to better fit your open roles.

Editing the Prescreen Survey In Advance

Prescreen Surveys can be edited in advance or when opening a job. To edit a survey in advance, begin by clicking 'Management' and then 'Hiring Steps' in the left navigation.

Click on Management…

Next, click the 'Prescreen Surveys' tab and select the survey you are looking to edit.

Click on Administrative Prescreen Survey- testing

You can review the statements that are currently included in the Prescreen Survey. To make changes, click the 'Edit' button.

Click on Edit

Click 'Remove' to delete a statement and 'Edit' to change the existing statement. You can also change the desired response by toggling between 'True' and 'False'

To add statements, you can search and filter by existing statements, choose from the bank to the left of the page and drag/drop the question into the survey. You are also able to type a custom question and click 'Add' to create your own.

Make a "knockout" statement by checking the box. This will result in an immediate 0% score if that statement is answered incorrectly. Knockout statements are good to use for job requirements that cannot be compromised.

You can also reorder survey statements by dragging and dropping them in the order you prefer.

Make sure to click 'Save' when you are finished!

Note: If you edit a survey that is currently in use on an open job, any applicants received prior to the updates will retain the existing survey. All applicants received after the updates were completed will receive the revised version.
