Creating a Template from Settings
There are two ways you can create SMS message templates. Once a template is created, it will be available for use by all users within your account. If you have a multi-location hierarchy, templates created in the corporate or parent account will be available for all locations.
To create an SMS template, click 'Management' and then 'Templates' from the left navigation. The Text Templates page will open by default. Click 'Create a New Text Template'.

Enter the title (for internal use only) and message body. You can also choose dynamic fields to incorporate into the message. Select 'Save Template' when complete.

Using Dynamic Fields
Dynamic Fields enable you to add unique details and personalize messages without having to remember or look for certain information every time you send a message. The following Dynamic Fields are available in your Hireology account.
- Candidate First Name
- Candidate Full Name
- Sender Full Name
- Sender Email
- Company Name
- Job Name
- Hiring Manager
- SMS Survey Link
- Company Address - Street
- Company Address - City
- Company Address - State
- Company Address - Zip/Postal
- Current Date
To include a dynamic field, click the 'Insert a Dynamic Field' dropdown menu when editing or creating a message template. Select the field you would like to insert to add it to the message. You may add additional dynamic fields that are relevant to the message. Click 'Save Template' to save your changes.
Editing a Template
To edit an existing SMS Template, click on 'Management' and then 'Templates' from the left navigation. The Text Templates page will open by default. Click the dropdown arrow beside the template you would like to edit, then make the necessary changes. Click 'Save Changes' to save your work.

Archiving a Template
If you no longer wish to use a template you can archive it. This won’t delete it completely, but it will move it out of the list of templates that you see when sending messages to applicants.
To archive a template, click on 'Management' and then 'Templates' from the left navigation. Select 'Text Templates' and then click the dropdown arrow beside the template you would like to archive and click 'Archive this template'.

The template will be moved to the archive which you can access by clicking the 'Archived' tab.

To restore an archived template, click 'Unarchive Template'.
