Candidate Overview & Pipeline Navigation
To start, click 'Candidates' in the left navigation. The Overview tab gives you a snapshot of active candidates and their progress through the pipeline.
Select the Pipeline tab to browse candidates by stage, or choose a stage from the pipeline dropdown or Overview to open that stage's candidate list.
Use the stage filters to focus on candidates by status, and apply additional filters to narrow the list.
The Search tab is the classic Candidate Search experience with an updated interface. It searches candidates across all pipeline stages, and you can apply filters to narrow the results.
Name Searches
Searches require a minimum of 2 letters in any keyword to work. Keywords are matched against any text in the first or last name of the candidate. Nickname search is also supported. For example, when searching for 'Bobby' you can expect to see results including the name 'Robert'.
Email Searches
Emails can also be searched with a minimum of 2 characters (letters and numbers) and the system will search anywhere in the email address for those characters. Previously, emails ending with numbers were difficult due to the search engine and would sometimes return incorrect results. This has been corrected in the new search engine.
Phone Searches
Phone numbers can be searched using a minimum of 2 characters. Dashes and parentheses are filtered out of the search criteria to leverage only the numbers. As with email and name, the numbers will produce search results if the number sequence is anywhere within the phone number.
Resume Keyword Searches
We’ve streamlined your resume search experience by consolidating resume keywords into the same search bar as name, email, and phone number, eliminating separate search boxes. Our intelligent resume parsing engine plays a crucial role here: it meticulously reviews each uploaded resume and extracts key skills and keywords, which then become searchable within our system. It's important to note that only the words and phrases identified and indexed by our parsing engine are searchable. This means that while a specific skill like “blacksmith” would indeed appear in search results for the broader term “smith,” other words present on the resume that are not recognized as keywords or skills by the parsing engine will not be directly searchable.
Disposition Code Filtering
Use the disposition-code filter to narrow Candidate Search results by an assigned disposition code. Disposition codes apply to inactive candidates, so select a status that includes inactive candidates before applying this filter. If the status and disposition-code filters do not match, no results may appear.
Complex Combinations
The new search experience supports the use of AND and OR keywords along with parentheses. Using keywords like “(Roberts OR burz) OR Adams” would return any rows with a match to “Roberts”, “burz”, or “Adams”.
