For optimal applicant flow, we recommend refreshing your jobs every 60-90 days, especially if you have not found anyone to hire or have multiple positions open for the same role.
What does "refreshing your job" mean?
After a period of time, your job will become "stale" on the job boards and its visibility will diminish over time as more new jobs are added to the feed. Refreshing your job means that you will close out the current listing and open a brand new profile to increase your visibility to a new set of applicants.
How to Refresh Your Job
To start, you will need to close out the current job profile. To do this, click on the "Jobs" tab from the navigation bar at the top of your account then click on the job title to enter the job itself. Towards the top of the page, you will see an option for the job status -- click here then select "Close" from the drop down menu. Your job, along with all of the current applicants will move to the "Closed" section of your job listing and will no longer appear on any of the job boards.
Next, you will need to open a brand new job profile. To do this quickly, click on the "Open a Job" button from the navigation bar at the top of the page, select an option from the "Existing Job Profile" drop down menu then click the arrow to proceed. You will now see your job profile in its entirety. If you would like to make edits, you can do so, however, if you are satisfied with all of the information entered, you can click the "Next" button to continue on.
Once your job is open, it will take 24-48 hours for your job to be re-syndicated on all of Hireology's job board partner sites.
I don't see my job in the drop down list
If the job you're looking to refresh doesn't appear in the options available, you'll likely need to go back to the old job to make it "cloneable". To do this, click back on the "Jobs" tab from your navigation bar then select "Closed" from the filters on the left hand side of the page. Find the job you just closed out then click on the pencil (or edit) icon right under the job title itself. On the very first page of the job setup, under the compensation settings, you'll see an option for "Other users in my account can clone this job" -- this box should be checked. If it is not, check the box then click "Save & Exit" to confirm the update.
What if I have applicants/candidates I am considering for the position but I would like to proceed with a job refresh?
If there are still individuals in your workflow that you would like to continue on in the process, you can easily move them from the old job to the new job using our transfer feature.
