Adding a Job to Your Existing Jobs / Cloning a Job
Depending on your account setup, you may already have jobs saved to your existing jobs list the first time you use your Hireology account. When you open a new job, whether you use an existing job or create a new job, you have the option to create a job template. What this really means is that you are saving a copy of the job to your existing jobs list.
Each time you open a job using an existing job, you are cloning the job and will be able to rename or make other edits to the new version of the job without affecting the original template. You can choose to add the new job template to your existing jobs by checking the box to select 'Add template to this account', 'Add template to all children locations' or you can open the new version of the job without adding it to your existing jobs.
To add a job template to your existing jobs, begin by clicking '+Open a job' in the top, right of your Hireology account.
Next, choose a job from the 'Job Template' drop down or start to enter in the your jobs details.
Follow the prompts to add information and edit the job as desired. To save a copy of the job to your job templates, check the box at the bottom of the 'Job Details' section 'Add template to this account'.
Note: If you have a corporate hierarchy or multi-location account and you would like your other locations to be able to use the job template, you should also check the box to select 'Add template to all children locations'. Without having this checked, your other locations will not be able to see the job in their existing jobs lists.
Click 'Save & Continue' at the bottom of each page and complete the steps to open the job. If you are not ready to open the job yet, you can click 'Save & Exit'.
The job will not show up in your existing jobs list until it has been opened. You will be able to find the saved job by clicking the 'Jobs' tab in the left navigation, then checking the box to display 'Pending' jobs. Click the pencil icon to pick up where you left off and open the job.
Editing a Job Template & Converting a Previously Posted Job to a Job Template
Now that you have opened a job and created a job template, there are a couple of places you can find it and edit it. Begin by clicking 'Jobs' in the left navigation of your Hireology account. If the job you want to edit is open, select the pencil 'edit' button to make changes. You can also use the check boxes in the 'Status & Visibility' section to edit pending or closed jobs.
If you want to make the job a template, check the box to 'Add template to this account' and/or "Add template to all children locations' if applicable on the 'Job Details' page.
Make changes as needed and click 'Save & Continue' at the bottom of each page to advance through the job. You can click 'Save & Exit' at any time to save your changes.
Now when you click '+Open a job' the job template will be available to choose from in the drop down.
