Creating a Job Template
To create a job template, begin by clicking '+Open a Job' at the top of your Hireology account.
If you or someone else on your account has created a job template before, it will appear in the 'Use an existing job' list. You can clone a job template by selecting from that list. Another option is to create a new job template by selecting a job category from the 'Create a job' list. Regardless of which option you choose, the next page is where you can decide if you would like to make the new or cloned job a template.
If you manage an account for a single or child location, you will see the option to 'Create a job template that other users on my account can use'. If the account you manage is part of a larger organization with other child accounts, creating a template at the child account level will only enable the template to be used by other users in this specific child account.
To create a job template for a multi-location organization that you would like each of your child locations to have access to, you will need to go through the '+Open a Job' process at the parent account level. Check the box to select 'Create a job template that all my locations and divisions can use'.
Edit the details on each page and click 'Next' to advance through the job.
On the final page, select the job visibility, then click 'Finish'. It is only at this point that the job becomes a template and will be added to your library. If you would like to create a job template but are not ready to post the job publicly, you can choose 'Internal' visibility.
Editing a Job Template
Now that you have opened a job and created a job template, there are a couple of places you can find it and edit it. Begin by clicking 'Jobs' at the top of your Hireology account.
The best way to find your job templates is by using the filters to the left of the page to deselect 'Open' jobs and select 'Closed' jobs. You can also scroll down until you see the Templates section and check 'Jobs used as templates' to filter by job templates.
Click the Edit icon beneath the job title.
Make changes as needed and click 'Next' at the bottom of each page to advance through the job. You can click 'Save & Exit' at any time to save your changes.
Converting a Previously Posted Job to a Job Template
If a job was opened without selecting the option to save it as a template, you can still add it to your job template library. To do this, click 'Jobs' at the top of your Hireology account.
Next, filter by Open and/or Closed depending on the current status of the job.
When you've located the job, click the Edit icon beneath the job title.
On the Job Details page, check the box to 'Create a job template that other users on my account can use'.
Click 'Save & Exit' to save your changes.
Now when you click '+Open a job' the job template will be available in your 'Use an existing job' list.
