Why can't I send text messages to some of my candidates?

Due to mobile messaging compliance, applicants will have the option to opt out of receiving text messages when they submit their job application. If they choose to opt out, the SMS icon will be grayed out and unavailable for you to click on.

Here’s how it works from the applicant’s perspective:

All application forms include an option to opt out of receiving SMS messages regarding a job with your organization.



Even if they choose to receive text messages while completing their application form they can still opt out at any time by replying “STOP” to messages you may send them.

Opting out of one job does not automatically opt them out from receiving messages for any other job they may apply to. If an applicant applies to more than one position within your organization, they will need to opt out on a per job basis.
