Insights Reporting - Understanding Benchmarks

Insights shows you how well your hiring process is working with Hireology. Beyond looking at your own results, Hireology also helps you compare the elements of your hiring process against industry benchmarks to help you see how you're doing compared to similar organizations. 

This article walks through the use of benchmarks to give you a better understanding of them as it relates to ranking your own hiring process and performance.

The included Industry benchmarks make it easy to measure and improve your hiring process by showing you how you compare to organizations similar to yours.

As a part of our Hiring Velocity Insight, we provide benchmark comparisons for:

  • Applicants reviewed

  • Time to review

  • Time spent in each hiring step

  • Time to hire

Compare your organization’s numbers to the industry benchmarks by location, job, or hiring manager and see how you stack up and ensuring you are obtaining the best talent. Are you doing better or worse than industry benchmarks?

Both hiring faster or slower than average may have drawbacks:

Hiring faster. If your hiring process is too short, you might not be screening candidates thoroughly enough, cutting corners and risk making bad hires.  

Hiring slower. Your competitors might get your best candidates before your hiring team extends them a job offer. Longer hiring processes might impact your candidate experience.
